The ScanTrac DUO is the ultimate inspection system for finding foreign materials in glass containers. Capable of inspecting your products at line speeds up to 700 feet per minute, the ScanTrac DUO is one of the fastest X-ray inspection systems on the market. But we don’t just inspect products faster, we see more. The unique single source, dual beam design allows for improved inspection along the sidewalls and pushups of glass jars and bottles.

Two beams see what one beam cannot

By using dual beams, we are able to inspect behind the push ups on jars. The illustration below demonstrates how a glass bead could hide in front or behind this region of a bottle. The high concentration of glass in this region would typically render the area worthless for inspection; however, as the illustration shows, what hides from one beam of the Duo lies in clear sight for the second beam. As you can see, the ScanTrac DUO detects shards of glass on the bottom of glass containers.
