Chart acquisition of Cryotech

We are pleased to announce that at the beginning of August 2010, Chart Industries purchased Cryotech International.

Chart is a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment used in the production, storage and end-use of hydrocarbon and industrial gases. The majority of Chart's products are used throughout the liquid gas supply chain for purification, liquefaction, distribution, storage and end-use applications, the largest portion of which are energy-related. Chart has domestic operations located across the United States and an international presence in Asia, Australia and Europe

Chart is looking to invest in the Cryotech product range, and provide new features, which in the long run, will be of benefit to our customers.

Peco now represents the OxySense range of O2 Measuring Systems

A new addition to Peco’s product range is the Oxysense range of Oxygen Monitoring and Permeation Systems.

The OxySense equipment we now offer provides affordable, state of the art technology, whilst setting new standards for oxygen measuring and monitoring.

OxySense systems are easy to use, non destructive packaging analysis for oxygen measurement. Now you can ‘see’ the O2 levels in your package over a few minutes, hours, weeks or years.

The Technology – How it Works
OxySense® oxygen monitoring devices are optical systems that can measure oxygen concentration within packages that are transparent, semi-transparent, and translucent; and as long as the packaging material can transmit blue and red light (at approximately 470nm and 610nm respectively), a measurement can be made.
For those packages that can’t transmit light, simply create a hole in the package and glue a ‘dot’ inside.

The OxySense 6000 Portable Oxygen Analyzer
The OxySense® 6000 is the two for one option. It is a fully functional portable model as well as a fully functional laboratory instrument. It supports the complete range of functions: head space analysis, permeability analysis, dissolved oxygen analysis, flow monitor.

The GEN III 5000 series
The GEN III 5000 series, part of OxySense’s newest line of non-invasive oxygen monitoring and permeation systems. It is the oxygen measurement instrument of choice for labs and individuals who need to test or evaluate bottles, packages and other packaging materials through a variety of studies.

The GEN III 300 series
Our base model offers the ideal solution for conducting non-invasive or invasive measurements in oil, water or air. The OxySense® GEN III 300 system, which requires a computer interface, will perform most of the functions of the 5000 including non-invasive headspace analysis for packages, bottles and blister packs; package material and design evaluation; closure design and evaluation; MAP production start up monitoring; research and development; QC and assurance, as well as product oxidation studies.

New LN2 Doser Launch

In the summer of 2011 Chart/Cryotech will be launching their NEW UltraDoser FS150, a low cost liquid nitrogen dosing system for slow speed lines.

Highlights of the proposed UltraDoser FS150 include:-

UltraDoser body
CE approved controller – 150cmp fixed delay (no speed compensation)

The new unit will enable companies with lower volumes to enjoy the benefits of LN2 dosing at a very affordable price.

We feel the UltraDoser FS150 will provide a better entry into the market for the smaller food and beverage facilities, while providing an easier platform for them to grow/upgrade into our other product lines (UltraDoser SC350, CryoDoser or similar) with minimal “change out” parts and investment.
