X-Ray Inspection Glass Applications

The detection of glass fragments inside glass packaging is now becoming standard industry practice as companies strive to show due diligence in the protection of their own brands and the brands of their retail customers.

The Scantrac x-ray inspection systems are able to give you and your customers the security of knowing that all your production in the market place has been properly inspected and is free from dangerous contaminants, reducing your consumer complaints and protecting against potentially damaging litigation.

Smallest size of contaminant possible to detect will vary based on multiple factors, including: including: size of jar, features of glass jar, glass wall uniformity, density of contaminant, false reject tolerance, line speed etc.

The experience of current customers is that they are finding contaminants that they did not expect to find in their products. Customers are alerted to contaminants in their raw products which has allowed them to work with their suppliers to correct the problems.
