X-Ray Inspection Applications
The ScanTrac Inspection System is created specifically for the unique needs of the food, beverage, and drug industries. The InspX design team has engineered a new, economical digital x-ray imaging technology that makes package inspection and process monitoring affordable for any size company. This state-of-the-art technology produces and analyzes a detailed image of each container and its contents; making multiple, intelligent decisions on whether to accept or reject the container in real-time. This innovative breakthrough in package inspection and process monitoring sets new standards for speed and accuracy. The ScanTrac's high-speed x-ray system images and analyzes and automatically detects foreign elements, identifies product composition, confirms package components, and ejects or diverts non-conforming packages. The ScanTrac's side view system design provides for easy installation on existing conveyors, high speed operation, inspection of each package as presented, including back to back inspection, and allows operation in wash down environments and difficult to access areas.
Ease of Installation and Small Footprint
By mounting over existing conveyors up to 8 inches (20 cm.) wide, the cost and space required to install the Side View
system are both minimized. The small footprint, created by both the Side View and Top Down ScanTrac Main Units,
allows installation in many restricted locations.
Accuracy at High Speeds
The ScanTrac Inspection System set new standards for speed and accuracy by performing multiple high-resolution
inspections on packages while detecting a wide range of contaminants or foreign objects in packaged foods and beverages
including metal occlusions, shards of glass, stones, bone, rubber - even low-contrast images such as plastics in powders
without compromise at conveyor speeds of up to 700 fpm (feet per minute).
Simultaneous Inspections
ScanTrac systems can detect contaminants, components and voids while simultaneously determining density, fill level and
fill volume.
Versatility
ScanTrac systems feature:
- adjustable X-Ray energy levels
- expandable digital arrays
- proprietary algorithms
- real-time imaging that can be configured for a broad range of applications
Out-of-conformance, (damaged, dented or upside down containers), and contaminated containers are identified and diverted or rejected down-stream.
Intuitive User- Friendliness
Rugged and easy-to-use, ScanTrac's intuitive systems feature Multiple Product Memories, On-Line Diagnostics,
Auto-Calibration, Step-by-Step Set-Up menu, and Remote Monitoring for unmatched ease of installation, set-up and
operation. Relatively inexperienced personnel achieve optimal inspections with minimal training.
Communications Options
Operational status can be monitored locally and remotely through high speed Internet connection for continuous support.
Remote Operator Console Option
A remote console option is available for all of the ScanTrac Inspection systems. It allows convenient access up to 20 feet (6 meters) from the x-ray system and conveyor.
