Liquid nitrogen dosing systems are commonly used in the food and drinks industry to rigidify soft walled containers for non carbonated drinks in either PET bottles or cans. In addition the expansion of liquid nitrogen makes the systems ideally suited for lowering the oxygen content, thus extending the shelf life and maintaining flavor, this is often used for packaged nuts, edible oils and other sensitive products.
